Adalberto Avila "Candela ", as he is known in Cuban musical circles, is a natural sonero who has been able to agglutinate with his bass , arrangements, and compositions to a group of young and talented musicians that are trying to win a place in the current Cuban music scene.


As a regular bass player for more than twelve years in popular bands such as Conjunto Roberto Faz , Conjunto Casino, Adalberto Alvarez y su Son, it is always a guarantee when selecting him as musical director. He is also known, for his qualities as a graceful instrumentalist.


He has, as part of his personal and professional career, the honor of having substituted, in Cuba as well as abroad, for some of the biggest names in Popular Cuban Music : the teacher Juan Formell as director, and bassist of Los Van Van.


SON CANDELA is a young group that was founded in August of 1997 and is directed by Adalberto Avila "Candela ". They intend to relax in a very singular way the best Cuban popular music without abandoning the main root, the Cuban Sound , ranging from being moderated musically to the contemporary thing . The name comes from this coalition of rhythm and interpretation.
