Chispa y los Cómplices
present with "¿Qué le pasa a mi negrá?" the orchestras second
release on the record label Cuba Chévere Musikproduktionen.
The success story of this young orchestra was honoured in
the year 2000 with the award, given from the Instituto de
la Musica, from Cuba, for the "Orquesta Nobel màs Popular"
(the most popular new orchestra).
Founded at the end of 1998 by the director, composer, as
well as arranger and bass player Ignacio R. Cervantes (El
Chispa), Chispa y Los Cómplices quickly gained a strong
position in front of enthusiastic Cuban audiences. The first
production, "New Pa' que Vea" that was released in 2000
was very successful. In Cuba it reached the Top 10 on the
radio and TV charts.
On the European tours in 2000 and 2001, the 13 men orchestra
proved to the audience that the quality of the recordings
match up to their live presentations with the finest quality.
With "¿Qué le pasa a mi negra?", as with the first album,
the compositions from Ignacio R. Cervantes once again present
to the audience the best of contemporary Cuban music.
The mix of traditional Cuban rhythms with Jazz, Funk, Soul
and Rap give Chispa y Los Cómplices their own special style.
Fresh food not only for the Latin Public, and be sure the
dance floor will burn under your feet!
